Aurora AI Privacy Policy

Introduction and Scope
This Aurora AI Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) is provided by Infer LLC (“Infer LLC”, “we”, “us”, and “our”) and outlines the Personal Data (as defined below) collected from or processed about you when you use the Aurora AI mobile application (“Aurora AI”, the “app”, or the “application”). This includes activities such as downloading, installing, registering, accessing, or otherwise using the application (collectively referred to as “Use”).
If you do not wish for us to process your Personal Data as outlined in this Privacy Policy, please refrain from using Aurora AI.
1. Personal Data We Collect and How We Collect It
We may gather Personal Data from and about you:
- Directly from you when you provide it to us.
- Automatically when you Use Aurora AI. This can include Usage details and internet protocol (“IP”) addresses.
- From third parties, such as our service providers, partners, and vendors.
2. Personal Data You Provide to Us Directly
You may directly provide Personal Data to us or to service providers acting on our behalf when you Use Aurora AI. The Personal Data you provide depends on which features of Aurora AI you use and how you interact with the app.
- Photos. If you allow us to access your camera or your device’s photo library, we will process the photos you select to upload to Aurora AI to provide the features you choose to use.
- Gender. When you use the Surprise Me feature of the app, we ask you to select a gender you want to associate with the uploaded Photo. You can choose Female, Male. This information is used solely to generate Avatars in accordance with the indicated gender.
- If you contact or communicate with us, we will collect and receive records and copies of your correspondence with us and contact details (such as your name, postal addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers or any other identifier by which you may be contacted).
3. How We Process, Share, and Retain Your Photos and Image Data
We process your photos to provide the features of the Aurora AI application that you choose to use. When you upload photos to Aurora AI, we process them using technology that identifies data in the photos, such as facial position, orientation, and topology (“Face Data”), along with other elements of your photo (collectively, “Image Data”). The following explains how we process, share, and retain your photos, and Image Data in connection with various features of the Aurora AI app.
- Avatars. To generate avatars, you need to upload a photo to Aurora AI. These photos are stored on our servers, hosted by Google Cloud (USA). Uploaded photos are processed by the AI model to generate Avatars. Immediately after the generation process any associated Image Data(including Face Data), are deleted permanently from our servers. We do not share Image Data with any third party. We do not Use your Personal Data to train and/or create artificial intelligence/products.
- Your Avatars and Photos are securely stored on our servers and accessible to you within the Aurora AI app at any time until you choose to either (i) delete the Avatars and Photos from the app or (ii) delete your user data. If you delete your user data, we will delete all your data, including Avatars and Photos, Gender data in your account. Additionally we keep your hashed user identifier on your device keychain for the purposes to re-authenticate you. Hashed user identifier will be deleted if you request to delete user data. Please note that deleting the Aurora AI application from your device does not delete your user data.
- Gender Data for each Photo(if provided) is stored on our servers until you choose to either (i)delete that Photo from the app or (ii) delete your user data.
4. Personal Data We Collect Automatically
When you Use Aurora AI, we or third parties may automatically collect certain information, including Personal Data, from you (subject to your consent where required by law). Information collected automatically may include:
- Device information: Information about your mobile device and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system and version, mobile network information, device type, and device language.
- App and country information: Information regarding the version of the app you are using and the country version of the app store from which you downloaded Aurora AI.
- Image Data: For more details, see Section 3.
- Usage details: Information about your Use of Aurora AI, such as frequency of use, areas and features accessed, and engagement with specific features.
- Details about your in-app purchases: For example, details about the timing of your purchases.
- (If you have provided your consent) IDFA or Android Advertising ID, whichever applies to your device.
Apart from Image Data, we and third parties may use cookies, Software Development Kits (SDKs), and other tracking technologies to automatically collect the Personal Data described above. 5. The Purposes and Our Legal Bases for Processing Your Personal Data
We may use your Personal Data for various purposes depending on the category of Personal Data and your Use of the Aurora AI app, including the following:
- To present to you and others with Aurora AI and its contents and any other information, products, or services that you request from us.
- To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us in relation to Aurora AI (e.g., the Terms of Use). This is for performing our contract with you and our legitimate interests in fulfilling and enforcing our contracts and defending our rights in case of claims.
- To customize our product and service offerings to you, such as offering pricing personalization and discounts. We make automated decisions using device type and device language data. Where required by law, we rely on your consent or offer you the opportunity to opt out.
- To provide customer and technical support, investigate concerns, respond to inquiries, and improve our responses. It is our legitimate interest to provide high-quality support.
- To communicate with you, such as notifying you about changes to Aurora AI or any products or services we offer.
- To conduct research, analytics, and monitor performance and other metrics regarding Aurora AI and your Use of the app.
- To improve, test, and monitor the effectiveness of Aurora AI. It is our legitimate interest to conduct these analyses to understand our product and business metrics.
- To provide personalized content and information to you regarding Aurora AI and for us and third parties to advertise to you.
- To send marketing and promotional communications to you via email, push notification, or in-app messaging with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law.
- In any other way we may describe when you provide the information or with your consent.
- As permitted or required by law, including for auditing, fraud, and security monitoring purposes.
6. To Whom We Disclose Personal Data
We may disclose the information we process about you, including Personal Data, as follows:
- To contractors, business partners, service providers, and vendors who support our business and assist in providing Aurora AI. These service providers may include:
- To third-party analytics providers and advertising partners or allow them to collect or access your data.
- In the event that we or any of our affiliates, subsidiaries, or business lines are merged, acquired, divested, financed, sold, disposed of, or dissolved, including during transactions like mergers, restructurings, reorganizations, acquisitions, bankruptcies, dissolutions, or liquidations.
- In response to legal requests and to prevent harm.
7. Cookies, Software Development Kits, and Other Tracking Technologies
When you Use Aurora AI, we and our service providers, vendors, and partners, including third parties, may use cookies (small text files placed on your mobile device to identify your device) and other similar technologies to collect or receive certain information about you and/or your Use of Aurora AI. We also use third-party analytics tools like Google Firebase, Facebook Analytics and AppsFlyer to help measure traffic and usage trends for Aurora AI and for other purposes. These tools collect information via third-party SDKs incorporated into Aurora AI, which includes information about features you visit or use, your actions in Aurora AI. This information may be used to provide content, advertising, or functionality, or to measure and analyze ad performance on Aurora AI or other platforms.
8. Your Rights in Relation to Your Personal Data
You may contact us at support@infer.studio to request access to, or modification, correction, update, erasure, or portability of any Personal Data that you have provided to us and that we have about you. You can also request the deletion of your account within the Aurora AI app, for both iOS and Android users.
- Access to Your Personal Data: You have the right to request information about whether we hold any Personal Data about you, and to receive a copy of that Personal Data.
- Rectification of Your Personal Data: You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the Personal Data you provide to us. If you believe that any Personal Data we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to request that we correct or complete it.
- Restriction of Processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your Personal Data under certain circumstances.
- Erasure of Your Personal Data: In certain circumstances, you may request that we erase your Personal Data.
- Portability of Your Personal Data: You have the right to receive your Personal Data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to another controller.
- Right to Object and Withdraw Consent: You may object to processing your Personal Data or withdraw consent at any time, which may affect our ability to provide services to you.
- Right to Lodge a Complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority competent for your country or region.
9. Your Choices About Our Communications with You
You may receive notifications from Aurora AI, including in-app notices, push notifications, and emails regarding updates and technical issues. These communications are necessary to perform our contract with you and are based on our legitimate interests.
If you do not wish to receive promotional and marketing communications from us, you may opt out by following the unsubscribe links in any marketing email we send or by adjusting your preferences in the Aurora AI app settings.
10. Data Security
We implement reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect your Personal Data from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. However, the security of your data transmitted through the internet or via our app cannot be guaranteed.
11. Data Retention
We retain your Personal Data as long as necessary to provide you with our services or as needed to fulfill our legal obligations and enforce our agreements. You can request the deletion of your account through the Aurora AI app settings.
12. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our practices and services. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through Aurora AI or through other means, such as email. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy frequently to stay informed about our information practices and the ways you can help protect your privacy.
